Ross Cushing, Au.D., is the Chief Executive Officer at Live Better Hearing + Balance. His primary responsibility is to keep the practice focused on what’s important: a positive and effective patient experience. This means ensuring that the administrative and clinical team members have access to the tools they need to provide the best patient outcomes – it also means that the team members have a supportive environment in which to work, and educational opportunities to stay on the forefront of audiological advancements.

Dr. Cushing has been a clinical audiologist for nearly 20 years and chief leader of Live Better Hearing + Balance since 2007,  where he believes that it is only through a combination of kindness and competency that we can achieve success with our practice and our patients.

Dr. Cushing’s extensive background includes a Doctor of Audiology degree from the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Classics and Classical Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics, along with Communication Disorders & Sciences from the University of New Hampshire.  He is also a Member of the Board of Directors at the Live Better Foundation since July 2017, and at Hearing Evaluation Services from February 2014 to July 2023. His commitment to education is evident from his stint as an Adjunct Professor at Gallaudet University, where he taught a class in private practice management.

In his spare time, Dr. Cushing enjoys spending time with his family, honing his novice chess skills, listening to classical music, watching comedy, and exercising.
